The best part about this one day in particular is that I never asked him to clean it up (that's why I keep the toys behind a door that closes). But, by evening he had mustered up his courage and cleaned up the whole room by himself, unasked. 

"Kloey has a ghost friend named Sunshine," Garrett informed me last week. "I have a ghost friend named 'Undies.' "

He proceeded to tell me all about his new friend Undies, who actually sounds like a stand-up kind of guy. It's a little self-revealing - Undies seems to represent everything Garrett wishes he was.

Undies likes to hold Carlie and he's very gentle and careful with her. He never gets angry or plays mean games with Garrett. He calls his underwear just "wear." Undies always listens to me the first time I ask him to do something. Oh, and he's 18 years old, but he'll stop growing when he's 16 years old. In fact, today is his birthday! Undies likes to go to the grocery store and he only buys things that are on sale. When I let him get a fruit or vegetable treat, he likes to get strawberries, because he isn't allergic to strawberries. He is allergic to sleep though. He's not allergic to playing, so he plays all night long. He and Garrett share a room, but thankfully Undies never wakes Garrett up with his all-night playing
