Yesterday we were driving down to Zilker park for a field trip when we drove by a building completely on fire with lots and lots of billowing smoke. If you've been paying attention at all, you heard about it - we drove past that building the guy flew his plane into minutes after it happened. There weren't even any fire trucks there yet (or maybe I remember seeing one, but it wasn't doing anything yet). A few policemen were there. And lots of people just standing on the side of the road and staring. Garrett was clearly affected by the experience. When we came home, he was in need of a little art therapy:
While we were at the Nature Center, playing in the Dino Pit, Carlie was suddenly looking very watery-eyed and puffy pink. Poor thing started to react to something in the air. We gave her some Benadryl and she zonked out on the walk back to the car: There's nothing better than a baby sleeping in your arms!
